I am a new creation in Christ, and yet, all the work of rewiring my brain continues. Old habits, cycles, false thinking, fears, insecurities, sins. I am so thankful for how far I’ve come. Today I am sad at how much there still is to do. New situations show me new work to be done. It’ll take my lifetime plus a day, and I’m committed. Thank you to God and the good friends who walk with me, in patience and love while I learn. I’m so thankful that I am part of God’s people, even while being refined. It’s not a club where only the perfect are welcomed... Lord, if nothing else, use me as an example that no matter how many times we stumble, You help us get back up.

This third I will put into the fire;
I will refine them like silver
